Ramen Love With You!

Hey Friends!

I'm popping up here with a quick post to talk about my last card two cards that I created while I was guesting for Sweet N' Sassy Stamps this month!

I am a huge sucker for a cute food doodle stamp set, and I love this one called Punny Love.

This card was pretty simple, and it just involved putting together multiple panels!

I started with creating an alcohol ink panel on Yupo paper and then trimmed it down to 4.25 x 5.5 inches before gluing it down to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base.

I then chose a few other pieces of patterned paper that I had in my stash, trimmed them down to various sizes, and glued them down to the base in a staggered layout to give some visual interest since I knew the main image panel would be pretty simple.

I stamped one of the food images on to a piece of bristol cardstock, colored it with prismacolor pencils and then stamped the sentiment below the image with black ink.

I trimmed down the panel and then glued it down to the rest of the card base to finish everything off!

For the next card, I did a fun little messy watercolor look that's quite easy to achieve!

I turned my stamps over so that the backside was visible, colored them with distress markers, and then sprayed them with water before stamping them down on to my watercolor paper. I heat set them just a little bit, and then did the second step.

I turned the stamps over so that they were facing the "right" direction, inked them up with the matching color of distress ink, and then stamped them down. I used a water brush to soften the lines a little bit, and then stamped and embossed the sentiment.

I trimmed down my watercolor paper to a 4x4 inch square panel and then mounted it with foam before gluing it down to a cut and scored 4.25x4.25 inch square card base.

The card was looking just a bit unfinished to me, so I pulled out a black pen and then just doodled the black border across all four edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you haven't already, I encourage you to check out Sweet N' Sassy Stamps and their fantastic products! They have some SUPER cute stamp sets and great things to offer a variety of crafting styles!
