Brutus Monroe Blog Hop--Anything Goes!

Hey there, Crafters!

I'm so pleased to be invited on to the Brutus Monroe blog hop today! When you've got an "Anything Goes" theme, it's hard not to feel inspired to create!

For today's card, I used some new to me shades of alcohol inks! I laid down some alcohol ink blending solution first on alcohol ink glossy cardstock, and then dropped in a few drops of each color and used my mouth to gently blow them in different directions to blend them together.

I them stamped the main floral image from the Botanical Banners set with Versamark ink on to vellum paper, and then heat embossed it with Vintage Pearl embossing powder.

And then I cut this image out using a coordinating die--JUST KIDDING!!! I actually just fussy cut it out, with a border, to make it look like it was a die. This is a technique I've really fallen in love with recently.

After gluing the floral vellum piece on to the alcohol ink panel, I trimmed down the panel and them mounted it with foam on to a gray cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base.

To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in Juniper Mist ink and cut it out, then I glued it on to the card with foam tape on the back.

Be sure to check out the rest of the inspirational creations from everyone else on the hop, 'cause you won't want to miss these projects!

Topflight Stamps Birthday Blog Hop!

Welcome!

It is Topflight Stamps 2nd birthday! To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with up some of our favorite crafters to bring you a blog hop showcasing some of the fabulous products available from Topflight Stamps. Please hop along with us all and show all of the crafters some love!

For today's card, I'm using the Wild Poppy stamp set by IndigoBlu and the Darkroon Door Boxes 3 Up Stencil.

I used a rainbow assortment of Distress Oxide ink colors and a blending tool, and created the rainbow card panel.

I then stamped the images from the stamp set on top of the rainbow panel and then colored the areas that overlapped with the oxide inks with the coordinating copic marker colors. This technique really made the floral images pop off the page!

I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment banner from the Brutus Monroe Botanical Banner stamp set, cut it out and then mounted it on the panel with foam tape. I glued the panel on to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base and called it good!

Now, of course, it wouldn’t be a birthday celebration without prizes! Topflight Stamps is giving one lucky winner a $50 Gift Certificate, and each stop on the hop has an additional $15 Gift Certificate up for grabs. To be in with a chance to win, make sure to visit every stop on the hop and leave a comment by April 8th. Winners will be announced on the Topflight Stamps blog on April 9th. Good Luck!

Finders Keepers Puddle Jumper Blog Hop

Hey there!

Welcome to your next stop on the hop--my blog!

I've got some cute projects to share with you that really show off these papers and stickers, so let's get to it!

I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for patterned paper, and that's mainly because I believe that patterned paper takes most of the hard work out of cardmaking. When a collection like this comes along, it's even better because everything coordinates together and makes it even easier!

Find the entire Puddle Jumper release right here.

For all of these cards, I cut out some different portions of the patterned paper to assemble some Clean and Simple Cards. The wonderful thing about these cards is that the possibilities are literally endless when you create!

For this card, I just cut out one of the boot images, trimmed off some of the raindrop paper and then arranged some them together on a gray kraft cardstock panel.

This next card was super fun to make cause I made that background panel myself! I just used some stormy sky and weathered wood distress ink and painted a background that looks like rain drops!

And for my last card, I waned to incorporate some of that YUMMY pink cardstock, so I matched it up with one of the images and then custom made my own sentiment die with a vellum shadow piece! I also added one of the sticker strips along the bottom of the card for a finished touch.

Make sure you don't miss any of the other projects! Leave a comment on each blogger's post and you'll have a chance to win the entire collection and a $25 gift certificate to the Finders Keepers store!
